At ENWAY we build and operate autonomous services will make living in cities better and will free humans from carrying out repetitive and dangerous tasks such as sweeping, road works and other maintenance and service activities.

Our first product is Blitz One the sweeping solution for autonomous cleaning of warehouses, industrial facilities and operating yards. We are already operating commercially deployed autonomous sweeping vehicles on private customer sites and are growing very quickly. Join us and play a critical role in our mission.

About the role

  • You will lead and coach a team of mechanical, electrical, mechatronics and embedded engineers
  • You will work on our vehicle architecture and solution design together with the team and help to come up with practical solutions to solve various challenges in the field
  • You will be working on a wide range of topics in the development of our robots, such as sensor and computing integration, harness creation, design for manufacturing, automation of functions, compliance with regulations, etc.
  • You will define, develop, test, and approve CAD & schematics
  • You will help to create tools for quality management in production
  • You will problem solve field & production issues with an interdisciplinary team

Must have

  • University degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or a comparable field/degree
  • Experience with mechanical CAD and sheet metal (5+ years experience), preferrable using solidworks
  • Experience using PDM systems (preferrably solidworks)
  • Experience with development of schematics & electrical prototyping
  • Experience with cable harnesses
  • Experience with quality management and design for manufacturing
  • 8+ years of relevant working experience, 3+ years experience in leading and coaching small teams
  • Great enthusiasm for robotics, software and a startup atmosphere
  • Able to work fast and independently, yet favoring teamwork
  • Proactive attitude, team spirit and great communication skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Willingness to relocate to Berlin

Nice to have

  • Fluency in German
  • Experience designing products to EU directives, particularly the machinery directive
  • 10+ years of relevant working experience
